Binance Charity and Utiva have selected 1,000 African students who will receive technology scholarships that will allow them to access a year-long training course taught by Binance Academy.
We are pleased to announce that Binance Ecuador Mobile Number List Charity has partnered with Utiva to continue our solidarity initiatives aimed at changing the situation for African communities. As part of our goal to train 50,000 young people and address the problem of unemployment on this continent, we are delighted to be able to support 1,000 students from 19 African countries with our scholarships.
These scholarships are intended to help these students enter the technology sector or develop professional careers related to blockchain, which will familiarize them with a wide range of essential blockchain and Web3 skills . The courses, taught by our educational division, Binance Academy , are free and will last one year.
«Today we honor the 1,000 selected students who will receive full scholarships under our Binance Charity scholarship program. This is our most ambitious educational commitment to date in the region and the overwhelming positive response we have received only cements Africa's position as a key hub for emerging tech talent. We are very happy for these young people who are embarking on a new career path,” said Helen Hai, Vice President of Binance and Director of Binance Charity.
Below, we collect some of the impressions of the winners of the Binance Charity technology scholarship:
«The blockchain sector has always interested me, mainly because of the data security aspect. For some time now, many sectors have been adopting blockchain technology, so I consider this to be the perfect opportunity to learn,” says Renee Ovwigho, a Nigerian student who received the Binance Charity technology scholarship.
Renee applied for this scholarship hoping to pursue a career in data analytics and hoped that Binance could also offer her the opportunity to get closer to Africa's tech community.

Another scholarship recipient, Miracle C. Amakom, from Cameroon, is also interested in pursuing a professional career in this field. «I am studying engineering and I want to access the best training, both academically and professionally. I applied for the Binance Charity Tech Scholarship as soon as I heard about it, and I'm so excited to have gotten it! This is where my dream of being a full stack developer begins. I'm looking forward to starting classes," Miracle confessed.
Other students already familiar with the blockchain sector also took advantage of this opportunity to hone their skills, such as Nicholas Katungi from Uganda. «I am already involved in the sector, since I work in a company that is dedicated to international payments and digital asset exchanges with the help of blockchain technology. However, there is a lot to learn in the blockchain technology sector, so I applied for this scholarship to improve my data skills and hopefully give a boost to my career path in this sector in the near future," declared.
